Website, Consultation and Intake Terms

These terms are between you and Exactitude Bookkeeping Inc., a bookkeeping firm based in Woolwich, Ontario. By using this site, booking a consultation or submitting a form, you agree to them.

Our Privacy Policy applies alongside these terms.

The content on this site is general information only. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice for your situation.

All prices shown on this site, including on our Pricing, FAQ and How It Works pages and in the quote calculator, are "starting from" prices. Your actual fees are set out in your proposal and engagement letter.

The free consultation, the Business Profile and any quote or proposal do not create an engagement. We act as your bookkeeper only once an engagement letter has been signed by both of us, and we will not begin work before then. The engagement letter, together with our Standard Terms and Conditions provided with your proposal, sets out the services, fees, billing, termination and other commercial terms. If these Terms conflict with a signed engagement letter, the engagement letter governs.

• It lasts 30 minutes and there is no obligation.
• To reschedule or cancel, email info@eb-inc.ca.
• We may decline to go further if the fit isn't right.

• It is optional. You can complete it before or after your consultation, but please finish it before your discovery call.
• Your progress saves automatically.
• Your link is private to you. Don't share it.

When you submit it, you confirm that:

• you are authorized to give the information on behalf of the business;
• it is accurate to the best of your knowledge; and
• you have not included SINs, full bank or card numbers, passwords, or online banking or CRA credentials.

We rely on it only to scope your discovery and prepare your proposal. Scope or fees may change if the facts turn out to be different.

This is a summary only. Your engagement letter controls. We will ask you to:

• give us accurate and complete information;
• disclose all revenue and expenses;
• provide source documents well ahead of reporting and remittance deadlines; and
• respond promptly to our requests for information, or for written confirmation of significant representations.

Bookkeeping services are not an audit, and we cannot be relied on to prevent or detect fraud, error or other irregularities. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for detecting fraud or error in your own financial information.

You remain the owner of the documents and information you give us. We use them only to prepare for your consultation, to scope and propose services and, if you engage us, to deliver them. We keep them confidential and share them only as our Privacy Policy describes.

The content, logos and materials on this site belong to Exactitude Bookkeeping Inc. or its licensors. Please don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.

We provide this site "as is". To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for losses from using it or being unable to use it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree that we may communicate with you, and deliver documents to you, electronically.

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top show the latest change. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
